In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 free-to-play games in Kenya showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance.

Candy Crush Saga, published by King, demonstrated a consistent performance. Weekly revenue peaked at around $5K in early January but saw a gradual decline to approximately $3.6K by the end of March. Downloads spiked to 36K in the first week of January before stabilizing around 10K to 12K towards the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining a range between 212K and 247K.

PUBG MOBILE from Tencent Mobile International Limited experienced a dip in weekly revenue, starting at $3.4K in late December and dropping to around $1.6K by early March, before slightly recovering to $2.4K by the end of March. Downloads saw a peak of 6K in early January, followed by a steady decline, ending the quarter with approximately 3K. The game maintained a steady active user base, averaging around 230K.

Roblox by Roblox Corporation showed a downward trend in revenue, starting from $2.7K in late December and settling at around $1.7K by the end of March.
